One of the fellows at work showed me these great old drawings from 1904 of a building that's still in existence in downtown Portland. Back then, they did drawings on a linen paper to preserve them... the detail and penmanship is amazing!

My interest in architecture is best linked to my grandfather, who was a contractor in Thermopolis around the 1940s-1960s. This is his workbench in the basement of the house... I've always enjoyed looking through all the tools and gadgets around.
