We visited my grandma's grave today in honor of Memorial Day.... It's always tough, but an amazingly peaceful place to be.

cinetopia

I went to cinetopia tonight to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 in one of the living room theaters. There is live music before (which was excellent!) and they serve a full dinner menu and drinks. I It was fun to watch the movie, have an ale, and put my feet up on the ottoman in front of the chair! I don't think I could see a movie another way... it was a blast!

On a late night adventure around downtown portland with matt and adam we of course had to stop at voodoo doughnut! So very tasty... it was the first time I've ever enjoyed a doughnut in the rain!

On my last wandering around downtown Spokane for the foreseeable future, I decided that the back entrance to miller.whiterunkle, an advertisement agency is my favorite facade in the area. I wish I could have had a look around the office, but from peeking through the windows, it appears to be a really cool space.

the onion

After the last day of critiques for studio, the group went out for drinks in downtown. We stopped outside the onion as we recognized the sidewalk and fire escape from "reading the built environment" studies in our theory course.
