I was reading a blog today about taking photos, and it offered the suggestion of viewing your subjects from above, rather than straight on. I don't think it's as effective as doing it with people, but it was sort of fun to stand on random furnature in my apartment and take pictures looking down. I won't lie, it was neat to be tall.
